Wings of the Motherland

In my present book project, “Wings of the Motherland: Soviet and Russian Cultures of Aviation from Khrushchev to Putin,” I explore the history of civil aviation in Russia and its role in the country’s major transformations from the mid-1950s through the Soviet Union’s end and into the present. I’m presently researching and writing this book project on a Verville Fellowship at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, in 2016-2017.
